The 2013 International Conference on Field-Programmable Technology (FPT'13) solicits submissions relating to technical demonstrations to be presented at a Demonstration Session. Demonstrations of tools, architectures, device technologies, applications, and educations are welcome, with an emphasis on themes related to reconfiguration.

All demonstration proposals should be written up as 4-page papers that detail the goals of the demonstration along with the theory and implementation of the system being demonstrated, and any related results. The demonstration paper must follow IEEE format as well as that of regular papers.

Accompanying the paper, please submit a single-page cover note in which you provide the following details:
  • Author(s) and affiliation(s)
  • Demo completeness to date
  • Remaining development to be completed
  • Equipment to be brought as part of the demo
  • Intended method of equipment transportation
  • Setup time required
  • Any additional requirements/notes
Note that the conference organizers will only be able to provide a single table (W1800 mm), power outlet (100V-100W), and a poster paper panel (W900 mm * H2000 mm). It is your responsibility to bring all equipment and connectivity, and to confirm compatibility with Japanese voltage standards (100V) and its socket shape.

Papers will be reviewed by the committee members and accepted papers will be published in the proceedings and will be included in IEEE Xplore, with live demonstration being a requirement. Demonstration proposals will be judged on technical merit, practical maturity and suitability of theme. You are also encouraged to bring a poster to accompany your demonstrations.

Please note that at least one full-registration is required for each paper and we expect that one of the authors will be presenting the paper at the conference, otherwise the paper will not be included in IEEE Xplore.
