Bio

Koji Hasebe is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems at the University of Tsukuba. He is leading the Multi-Agent System Research Group (Laboratory) and supervising eight graduate and undergraduate students. He received his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy at Keio University in Japan in 1998, 2000, and 2006, respectively. Before coming to Tsukuba, he was a postdoc at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan.

Research

His research interests broadly include topics in multi-agent systems, such as modeling bounded rationality in games with epistemic logic, formal verification for distributed systems, application of game theory in system software design.
