Prerequisites Familiarity with discrete math and number theory will be helpful although not required.
Goal
Outline We learn the fundamental techniques for realizing information security with the focus on cryptography. We review the basics of algebra and number theory and study how the cryptographic primitives such as public key encryption, key agreement, and authentication work and why they are secure.
Course plan
・Basic Math for Cryptography
modulo operation, Euler's theorem, Chinese remainder theorem, etc

・Public Key Encryption
RSA, ElGamal, Paillier, digital signature, etc

・Security Proof
model and computational assumption

・Cryptographic Protocol
secret sharing, homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proof, secure multiparty computation
