The Department of Computer Science, Graduate School of Systems
and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba, invites students for the
following two types of courses.
(1) Master's ("Zenki" : former) Course
(This is 2 year program to obtain Master's degree in Engineering for applicants
who hold Bachlor's degrees.)
(2) Doctoral ("Kouki" : latter) Course
(This is 3 year program to obrain Ph.D degree in Engineering for applicants who
hold Master's degrees.)
In the exam of Master's course, we have paper examinations only for fundamental topics of computer science and mathematics and we have prepared a special seat without paper exam for working students. In the exam of the Doctoral course, we give more weight to the oral examination. From 2009, we abolished a paper examination for English and the TOEFL or TOEIC score is necessary for the English exam. The following information is a summary of the entrance examination for year 2013. Please obtain and check the official application form booklet.
We provide three entrance examinations for applicants to Master's Course. These are July Exam based on recommendation, August Exam, and February Exam. We also hold two entrance examinations in August and February for admissions of working students. The following is an outline of each exam.
Only applicants who satisfy one of the following two
requirements can be recommended to apply this exam.
(a) Approximately 70 percent or more of the total number of acquired credits in
the undergraduate school are of mark "A" (highest).
